Why the Sora Chiro AI Trend Isn’t Funny Anymore

Opening Thoughts

I’ll admit it. When the first Sora Chiro AI videos started popping up, I laughed. The dramatic sound effects, wild adjustments, and slow-mo “explosions” were ridiculous. But after seeing chiropractors, our own colleagues, repost and celebrate them, it stopped being funny.

At some point, we need to ask ourselves:

Why are we helping spread something that mocks our own profession?

When “Funny” Becomes the Problem

Social media thrives on trends, and everyone wants to stay relevant. But there is a line between humor and harm, and these AI clips cross it. They make chiropractic look unsafe, unskilled, and unscientific. When we repost them, it reinforces that false image.

To the casual viewer, it might look like harmless fun. But patients see those clips and hesitate to come in. They associate chiropractic with cracking bones, not careful and evidence-based care. That is not engagement. It is misinformation.

We Are More Than “The Crack”

Our profession runs much deeper than what social media shows. We diagnose, assess, and help people move better. We prevent surgeries. We restore function, reduce pain, and help people get back to their lives.

Every chiropractor knows that moment when a patient walks in scared and walks out with relief and hope. That is what our work is about. Not gimmicks. Not trends. Results.

So when content like this reduces years of training and patient trust to a joke, it is hard not to take it personally.

Why Are We the Only Ones Doing It?

You do not see MDs posting fake surgery AI parodies. You do not see DPTs joking about injuring patients. Trainers do not make memes about tearing a client’s hamstring.

So why do we keep joining in?

Maybe it feels like a way to connect. Maybe it is the pressure to keep up with what is trending. But credibility matters more than clicks. Respect is not built by joining the joke. It is built by showing the truth behind what we do.

We Don’t Need Trends to Prove Our Value

There is a better way to be relatable.

Share real stories.

Show how someone avoided surgery.

Highlight rehab wins and improved movement.

Explain how lives change through care and education.

We can still be funny, creative, and human, but we also need to be mindful. Our voice carries weight. Every post shapes how the public views chiropractic.

We have worked too hard to let an algorithm rewrite our reputation.

Protect What You’ve Built

Chiropractic has evolved. We collaborate with MDs, DOs, PTs, and trainers. We use evidence, imaging, and results to guide our care. We are not fringe. We are frontline for musculoskeletal health.

So the next time you see another parody video, pause and ask yourself:

Does this help people understand what we do, or does it make us look like a joke?

Our profession changes lives every day. That is the story worth sharing. Be proud of who you are, what you know, and how much you help. No filters. No fake cracks. Just truth.
